The prestigious TMA (Tanzania Music Awards) ceremony has kicked off tonight, with winners being announced in various categories. Christian Bella has emerged victorious as Best Dance Music Artist, while Best Dance Music Song was awarded to Diamond Platnumz for his hit track "Achii."
In the Best Taarab Song category, Leila Rashidi, wife of renowned musician Mzee Yusuph, clinched the award for her remarkable performance.
The Best Reggae Music Artist award went to The Akili Mali, with Best Reggae Song being awarded to Warriors from East for their popular track "Wewe."
The Best Dancehall Artist of the Year title was claimed by Baddest 47, while the Best Dancehall Song award was presented to Mr. Hater by Appy.
