COMMUNITY LEADERS COMMEND TCRA'S EFFORTS IN PROMOTING COMMUNICATION SAFETY AND PEACE.





Leaders from the Community of Reconciliation and Peace Tanzania (JMAT) have praised the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) for its dedicated efforts in ensuring safe and responsible communication practices, emphasizing their role in fostering national harmony.

In a recent gathering led by Sheikh Dr. Alhad M. Salum, the National Chairman of JMAT, along with Rev. George P. Fupe and Bishop Charles Howard, TCRA's initiatives were lauded for their pivotal role in maintaining peace through effective communication management. Sheikh Alhad M. Salum underscored the importance of utilizing communication tools responsibly to uphold societal tranquility.

The event also highlighted TCRA's outreach efforts towards marginalized groups, including a significant session on phone safety and maintenance delivered in sign language for the hearing-impaired. Mr. Suleiman Zalala, representing the Tanzania Association of the Deaf Youth Department (CHAVITA), expressed gratitude for TCRA's inclusive approach, which aims to empower users with special needs.

Sheikh Alhad M. Salum further noted the positive impact of TCRA's educational campaigns, emphasizing their role in promoting awareness and accessibility among diverse communities. He commended TCRA's commitment to inclusivity and urged continued collaboration towards ensuring equitable access to communication resources.
