The Minister for Finance, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba (MP), led his fellow ministers, Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Hon. Angellah Kairuki (MP), and Minister for Lands, Housing, and Human Settlements Development, Hon. Jerry Silaa (MP), in a meeting with the World Bank Vice President for Eastern and Southern Africa, Ms. Victoria Kwakwa, who is in the country on a working visit. In the meeting, the government and the World Bank discussed key issues to further their cooperation, including conservation and tourism as well as the development of the people and the nation as a whole.
Ms. Kwakwa praised and commended the existing cooperation between Tanzania and the World Bank, noting that Tanzania has been performing well economically among many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and is a significant beneficiary of various programs run by this major global financial institution.
