Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Dennis L. Londo, held discussions with a delegation from the Republic of Congo Brazzaville, led by Congo's Minister of Environment, Ariette Soudan Nonault, and the Executive Secretary of the Congo Basin Climate Commission (CBCC).
The talks focused on strengthening cooperation between Tanzania and Congo Brazzaville, particularly in environmental matters. The discussions also highlighted the activities of the CBCC and encouraged Tanzania to become a member of the Commission.
Additionally, the conversation emphasized the commitment of both nations, along with the broader African region, to leverage Carbon Trade opportunities to boost the economies of the Great Lakes region and Africa. They also discussed promoting the use of clean energy for sustainable development.
