The Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) has been awarded for maintaining some of the safest airports in the world. The award was presented by the Airports Council International (ACI), a global organization that assesses service and safety standards in the aviation sector.
Receiving the award on behalf of TAA in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Professor Godius Kahyarara, highlighted the Tanzanian Government's commitment to upholding the highest safety standards for passengers in the country's airspace.
He emphasized that this recognition, particularly for Julius Nyerere International Airport, enhances Tanzania's reputation as a safe destination for travelers and tourists. This achievement is expected to boost the tourism sector, attract investment, and contribute to the country's economic growth.
