Tanzania Allocates Tsh 34 Billion for Presidential Museum Project in Dodoma

Tanzania's President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has announced that the government has allocated Tsh 34 billion for the construction of a Presidential Museum in Dodoma. This project aims to preserve the history and legacy of the nation's leaders.

President Samia made this announcement today in Dar es Salaam during the launch of a book titled Sokoine: His Life and Leadership.

"I would like to address the proposal made by Ambassador Sokoine regarding the establishment of a dedicated center for documenting the history and memories of our leaders. I want to inform you that this proposal is already being acted upon. There is a Presidential Museum project, identified as Project No. 5221, located in Mtumba. We have set aside Tsh 34 billion for this project, with an initial allocation of over Tsh 1 billion in this year's budget. The museum site covers 50 acres in Dodoma, and we are working on this initiative," said President Samia.

The museum is expected to serve as a repository for the country's presidential history, highlighting the contributions of past leaders to Tanzania's political and social development.

This move aligns with the government's broader efforts to promote national heritage and foster pride in the country’s leadership legacy.
