Air Tanzania's New Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner Arrives in Zanzibar⦿Receives Water Salute

The new Air Tanzania Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner has successfully landed at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport today at 4:00 PM, following a brief weather-related delay in the United States. The aircraft was warmly received by the President of Zanzibar, Dr. Hussein Mwinyi, in a ceremony marking the arrival of this significant addition to Tanzania’s national airline fleet.

The plane, valued at over TZS 300 billion, was fully paid for by the government without the use of loans, according to Professor Godius Kahyarara, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport. This marks a major milestone in Tanzania's ongoing efforts to strengthen its national airline and improve both domestic and international air connectivity.

The Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner is expected to enhance Air Tanzania’s capacity to offer more routes and better services to passengers, contributing to the growth of the country's aviation industry.
