TANZANIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION AWARDS CEREMONY: 2023/24 SEASON

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) hosted its annual awards ceremony at the Super Dom in Masaki, recognizing the outstanding performances of the 2023/24 NBC Premier League season.

Stephen Aziz Ki Shines with Multiple Awards

Stephen Aziz Ki of Yanga Africa emerged as the star of the evening, claiming three prestigious awards. He was honored as the Top Scorer, Best Midfielder, and Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the NBC Premier League for the 2023/24 season. His exceptional performance has been pivotal in Yanga Africa's success this season.

Other nominees for the Best Midfielder award included Feisal Salum 'Fei Toto' of Azam FC and Kipre Junior, also from Azam FC.

Best Foreign-Based Player

Mbwana Ally Samatta, the captain of the Tanzanian national team (Taifa Stars) and a player for PAOK FC in Greece, was named the Best Foreign-Based Player. His contributions on the international stage have been remarkable, and he continues to be a key figure in promoting Tanzanian football abroad.

Best XI of the Season

The Best XI of the NBC Premier League for the 2023/24 season was also announced, featuring:

- Goalkeeper: Ley Matampi (Coastal Union)

- Defenders: Kouassi Attohoula Yao (Yanga), Mohamed Hussein (Simba), Ibrahim Hamad Bacca (Yanga), Dickson Job (Yanga)

- Midfielders: Mudathir Yahya (Yanga), Max Nzengeli (Yanga), Feisal Salum (Azam FC), Aziz Ki (Yanga)

- Forwards: Waziri Junior (KMC), Kipre Junior (Azam FC)

Yanga Africa dominated the Best XI, with six players making the list, reflecting their strong performance throughout the season.

CRDB Bank Federation Cup Best Player

Feisal Salum "Fei Toto" of Azam FC was awarded the Best Player of the CRDB Bank Federation Cup for the 2023/24 season. He outshone other contenders such as Stephen Aziz Ki (Yanga), Kipre Junior (Azam FC), Clement Mzize (Yanga), and Ibrahim Bacca (Yanga) to claim this accolade.
