Dr. John Jingu, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, has called on the Central Zone Benjamin Mkapa Hospital (BMH) to continue enhancing the quality and excellence of its specialized and advanced medical services to attain the status of a National Hospital.
Dr. Jingu made these remarks on August 9, 2024, during a visit to Benjamini Mkapa Hospital, where he assessed the delivery of services at the facility. During his visit, he emphasized the need for the hospital's experts to focus on improving their services to meet the standards required for national recognition.
"A National Hospital's primary role is to provide specialized and high-quality services. You already offer a range of services here. We must work tirelessly, day and night, to elevate this hospital to the status of a National Hospital," stated Dr. Jingu.
The visit underscores the Ministry's commitment to raising healthcare standards across the country by ensuring that hospitals like BMH are equipped and prepared to offer top-tier medical care.
