Election Commission Representative Urges Diligence in Voter Registration Training

High Court Judge and member of the National Electoral Commission, Honorable Justice Asina Omari, today attended a training session for ward-level registration officers in the Mbulu and Babati Councils of Manyara Region.

In her address to the participants, Justice Asina emphasized the importance of being meticulous and actively engaging in both theoretical and practical aspects of the training. She noted that these officers will be responsible for instructing assistant station registrars and operators of biometric devices, making their understanding crucial to the success of the upcoming voter registration exercise.

The two-day training is part of the preparations for the enhancement of the Permanent Voter Register in Manyara Region. The voter registration update is scheduled to take place from September 4 to September 10, 2024. Simultaneously, the regions of Simiyu and Mara will also begin their voter register enhancement exercises on these dates.
