The event was met with great enthusiasm from the residents of Gairo, who gathered to welcome President Samia as she arrived in the district to address them. The construction of the hospital, which cost over TZS 3.5 billion, includes seven buildings: the administration block, outpatient building, laboratory, laundry building, radiology building, drug store, and maternity ward.
In her address at a public meeting held at Gairo Primary School, President Samia emphasized the government's dedication to enhancing healthcare services and infrastructure nationwide. She highlighted the significance of the new hospital in improving access to quality medical care for the residents of Gairo and the surrounding areas.
President Samia's visit to Morogoro will include the inauguration of various development projects and further engagements with the public. This initiative aligns with the government's broader efforts to invest in healthcare infrastructure and elevate the overall well-being of Tanzanians. The Gairo District Hospital is now poised to begin operations, offering a wide range of medical services to the community.
